WA police hunt man over stabbing incident

WA police hope a new composite image will help them find the man wanted over a stabbing following a violent break-in at a Perth home.

The man is described as between 25-30 years old, dark skinned, with a slim build and short, curly dark hair.

Police say a 48-year-old man was stabbed in the head and chest after he ran after a group of intruders who broke into a house in mid-January.

The group threatened the residents with a gun, and the 48-year-old confronted them and chased after them when they ran off.

The victim was recovering after spending about two weeks in hospital, a police spokesman told AAP on Monday.
