WA people well-behaved on Australia Day
AAP
Only a small number of arrests were made in Western Australia on Australia Day, mostly for disorderly behaviour, police say.
"The people of Perth obviously enjoyed themselves and celebrated Australia Day with a great spirit and sense of community," State Commander Alf Fordham said.
The City of Perth estimates about 300,000 people enjoyed the fireworks at various spots along the Swan River foreshore and Kings Park.
