WA mum saves four-year-old from abduction

A man has attempted to abduct a four-year-old boy at a playground within the grounds of a Perth hospital, police say.

The man tried to walk away with the boy at Swan District Hospital about midday on Friday.

The child's mother intervened and the man was last seen running towards Great Northern Highway and Toodyay Road.
