WA ministers scolded over disclosure

Ministers must confirm whether information is already publicly available before refusing to provide it to parliament, West Australian auditor-general Colin Murphy says.

In a report tabled in parliament, Mr Murphy said it was unreasonable for Transport Minister Dean Nalder not to share information on an updated schedule of major transport and infrastructure works, and for Tourism Minister Kim Hames not to disclose the value of incentives provided with the sale of FESA House.

He said only Planning Minister John Day's decision not to provide information about unsolicited proposals to buy the East Perth Power Station site was reasonable.
