WA man suffers 'medical episode', dies
A West Australian man has died, from what police say was a medical episode, after he and a group of patrons were asked to leave a hotel in Cue on Saturday night.
Police were called to the hotel at about 8:30pm following reports a person had been assaulted with a glass jug.
At the time, there were approximately 50 mourners at the hotel who'd been to a funeral earlier in the day.
As a result of the assault, the hotel was closed and the patrons were all asked to leave the premises, some of them throwing objects at police.
While responding to the incident, officers noticed the man collapsed as he walked to his parked car.
Police performed emergency first aid until paramedics attended.
The man was taken to hospital but was unable to be revived.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
