WA man charged over 1990s sex attacks
A man has been charged over sex attacks on teenage girls in Western Australia between 1991 and 1993 following a cold case review.
The 54-year-old allegedly entered a Cannington shop in August 1991 and committed an indecent act in front of two 16-year-old shop assistants.
The following month, he allegedly grabbed a 17-year-old girl from behind as she walked through a Cannington shopping centre car park and sexually assaulted her.
In a third incident, police said a 15-year-old girl was walking through school grounds in Albany in March 1993 when grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted.
The Gosnells man has been charged with eight offences including aggravated sexual assault, aggravated sexual penetration without consent, aggravated indecent assault and deprivation of liberty.
