WA Lotto winners say they never gave up

A Perth couple who won a $7.5 million division one Lotto prize say it was their determination to play the game for the past 20 years that led them to their big win.

The pair, who live in the southern suburb of Belmont, said their Lotto windfall from last Tuesday's draw would open doors for them and had changed the way they look at life.

"I've just been walking around with the multi-million dollar winning ticket in my wallet because I figured it was the safest place to keep it," the man said.

"We can buy a new house, go on holiday around the world, be less stressed and debt free. It's just brilliant."

So far this year, 53 WA players have won a combined $77 million in division one Lotto prizes.
