WA Liberals promise cameras to catch hoons
AAP
Hoon cameras will be doubled across Western Australia under a re-elected Liberal government, with the footage to be used to find and prosecute dangerous drivers.
Road safety minister Liza Harvey said cars could be permanently confiscated, and the cameras had resulted in 110 vehicle impoundments and 186 charges since they were first used in mid 2015.
The Liberals have promised an additional 24 cameras at a cost of $168,000, which would make a total of 48 cameras across the state.
