WA firefighters extinguish Mandurah blaze

A suspicious bushfire burning out of control south of Perth has been extinguished after destroying 12 hectares of bushland.

The fire was reported south of Madora Bay after 8pm on Saturday, with firefighters working through the night to bring it under control.

A watch and act warning was issued for nearby residents in the early hours of Sunday, with firefighters back-burning established containment lines overnight.

Bushfire advice warnings remain in place for areas close to Margaret River in WA's south, Two Peoples Bay - 30km east of Albany - and Guilderton, in the shire of Gingin.
