WA crosswalk attendant stable after crash

A 78-year-old Perth crossing guard is in a stable condition in hospital after being struck by an out-of-control car, while police are investigating if the driver was under the influence of alcohol or speeding.
The 21-year-old male driver sustained minor injuries in the northern suburbs crash on Thursday afternoon, which left the attendant with serious injuries.
The driver also smashed into several poles.
