WA cops in 45-minute chase with stolen BMW
A man has allegedly stolen a BMW, led police on a 45-minute chase through several Perth suburbs and drove into the back of a police vehicle before crashing into another car.
Police said the 23-year-old man was seen driving erratically on Kwinana Freeway and Manning Road in Como on Monday morning and evaded police through suburbs including Cannington, East Perth, Morley, Dianella and Jolimont as he drove through red lights and on footpaths and median strips.
After crashing and injuring the female driver, the man ran away but was soon arrested and charged with a number of offences including stealing a motor vehicle and driving recklessly, failing to stop, aggravated reckless driving and aggravated dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
