WA bushfire threatens lives and homes

An out of control and unpredictable bushfire about 170km north of Perth has the potential to threaten lives and homes.

Authorities issued a watch and act alert at 2.40pm on Thursday, saying the fire was approaching farm properties in the north eastern part of Coonjarloo and Badgingarra in the Shire of Dandaragan.

The bushfire is moving fast in a north easterly direction and residents have been told to leave now if the way is clear, or to make final plans if they were well-prepared and planned to stay and defend their properties.
