WA bushfire an escaped private burn-off

A bushfire that posed a potential threat to lives and homes about 100km north of Perth has been brought under control.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services gave the all-clear for northwestern parts of Wanerie in the Shire of Gingin on Wednesday morning after a watch and act alert was issued on Tuesday afternoon.
The blaze was an escaped burn-off on private property and burnt through about 45 hectares.
