WA boy charged over rope attack on rider

A 12-year-old boy has been charged after a Perth motorcyclist was badly injured when he hit a rope that was tied across the road.

The 19-year-old victim was riding his motorcycle on Wellington Street in front on the Perth Train Station on Thursday night when he rode into the rope.

The force of the impact knocked him flying and he suffered a cut to the back of his scalp and rope burns to his neck.

The boy has been charged with wounding.
