The beach where teenager Laeticia Brouwer was mauled by a shark in Western Australia has reopened, less than three days after the fatal attack.

Beaches about three kilometres either side of Kelp Beds Beach, near Esperance in the state's south, had been closed since the attack on Monday.

Authorities reopened them at about 10.30am on Thursday.

Water and land patrols will continue in the area, and no sharks have been sighted since the attack, the Department of Fisheries says.
