Two more shark nets for WA beaches

Shark nets will be erected at two more West Australian beaches this summer to protect swimmers from attacks.

The state government will spend $400,000 on new nets at Sorrento Beach, north of Perth, and Middleton Beach in Albany, in addition to the already funded nets for Dunsborough and Busselton.

Premier Colin Barnett said both locations were selected because they had calm waters that reduced the risk of damage to the nets.
