Two dead, child fighting for life after caravan crash in remote WA

Two people are dead and a child is fighting for life after a crash near Shark Bay in remote Western Australia.

Police were called to a crash on North West Coastal Highway in Hamelin Pool, about 260 kilometres south of Exmouth about 11.30am (1.30pm AEST) on Monday.

One of the cars was towing a caravan, which rolled.

Two people died and a child who suffered critical injuries was airlifted to hospital for treatment.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service air transport touched down in Perth shortly before 6pm.

Officers from the major crash unit are investigating the crash.
