Three survive WA light plane crash

Three people have walked away from a light plane crash in Western Australia's far south without serious injuries.

The Cessna aircraft was approaching a private airstrip in Narrikup near Albany about 1.45pm (WST) on Sunday when a crosswind pushed it into trees next to the runway.

The pilot and two passengers were able to get out of the wreckage with the assistance of paramedics.

One of the passengers was taken to Albany Health Campus as a precaution.
