Three dead and two critically injured after crashes in Perth

Three people have died and two are fighting for life after two separate car crashes in Perth last night.

A triple fatality occurred near Yanchep at 7pm, when a sedan collided with a four wheel drive on Indian Ocean Drive, four kilometres north of Old Yanchep Road.

Three people in the sedan died at the scene. Another female passenger is in a critical condition at the Royal Perth Hospital.

The driver and passengers of the four wheel drive, including three children, were treated for minor injuries at Joondalup Health Campus.

In a separate crash in Karnup last night, a man in his 20s was critically injured when his car hit a tree. He remains in hospital.
