A girl has been airlifted to hospital after falling off a horse at an agricultural show in WA's Great Southern.

The RAC Rescue helicopter based in Bunbury was called to the Wagin showgrounds, where the Wagin Woolarama is being held, on Saturday afternoon.

A Woolarama spokeswoman said the 16-year-old was riding in an equestrian event when she came off the horse, which bolted, and landed on her side.

On-site paramedics called for the emergency helicopter as a precaution because of the girl's age but she did not lose consciousness and could still move her toes, the spokeswoman said.

The RAC chopper based in Perth was also called out on Saturday afternoon to pick up a man who crashed on a trail bike on a private property on Wickepin-Pingelly Road in Pingelly.
