Two teenagers have been charged after they allegedly set a house in Perth's north on fire twice within a fortnight, causing so much damage that it had to be demolished.

Police say the 15-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy broke into the Warwick home on April 17, stealing items before setting it ablaze, then returned on May 1 and set fire to it again.

The pair who caused $475,000 worth of damage to the home, have been charged with arson, burglary and stealing, and will appear in the Perth Children's Court later on Wednesday.
