Three men accused of murdering a man whose beaten and shot body was found in a coastal Perth park will face trial next month.

Nathan Michael Beckton, Angus William John Ritchie and Alexander James Stephens appeared briefly in the WA Supreme Court via videolink from prison on Thursday.

The three have previously pleaded not guilty to the murder of David Liam Johnson.

Shortly after the killing on March 8 last year, police alleged the three men, who knew Mr Johnson, were involved in an altercation with him at a house in the western suburb of Swanbourne and he was then struck by a car.

Police further claim Mr Johnson, 32, was then driven to Lime Kiln Field where he was shot dead.

Beckton, Ritchie and Stephens will face a five-week trial from November 19.

The three were remanded in custody and will appear in court again on October 30 for a status conference.
