Storm leaves WA residents without power

A heavy storm has left Perth residents without power for the second time in four days, with more than 1400 customers affected across the network.

A Western Power spokesman said crews were working to restore the electricity to customers with suburbs all over Perth affected, while areas south of the city at Margaret River, Busselton and Bunbury and north at Mullewa were also without power.

Heavy overnight rain has also caused minor flooding to roads.

It comes after 60,000 homes were left without power and 600 residents needed emergency help on Saturday as heavy rain and strong 100km/h winds damaged homes and knocked down power lines and trees.
