* Fire contained on the northern edge but not controlled

* Moving slowly in a north westerly direction

* About 25km east of Esperance

THOMAS RIVER-POISON CREEK AREA IN CAPE ARID NATIONAL PARK

* Watch and act warning; possible threat to lives and homes

* Fire is burning in the park, which has been closed; people evacuated

* Fire has crossed outside the northern boundary into private property

* Fire moving east and is not contained

* About 125km east of Esperance

IMPACTS

* At least 120 people evacuated

* Four schools closed in Scaddan, Grass Patch, Salmon Gums and Cascade

* 165 without power in Salmon Gums, Grass Patch and Scaddan

* Emergency evacuation centre in Esperance
