Snake enclosure fire threatens Perth home

A reptile heater has set a snake enclosure ablaze at a house in Perth's south.

A Department and Fire Emergency Services spokeswoman told AAP the fire did not spread from the snake enclosure and was put out within half an hour of the emergency call in the early hours of Friday.

A young couple, believed to include a pregnant woman, live at the house and were seen on the street while the fire was extinguished.
