Authorities have re-issued a shark warning for Perth's northern beaches, surf and dive spots.

A white shark was spotted about 6km off-shore from Scarborough on Friday.

The Department of Fisheries has since re-issued a warning for waters between Scarborough and Hillarys Boat Harbour, urging people to reconsider swimming, surfing or diving in the area.
