Shark shuts down two popular Perth beaches
AAP
A warning has been issued and two popular Perth beaches closed after a white shark was spotted off the coast.
City and Floreat Beaches have been closed after the Department of Fisheries tagged the shark swimming off the coast just before 2.30pm on Wednesday.
There were also public sightings of a 3.5-metre white shark near the break at a popular surfing spot in Yallingup in the state's south about noon, however that beach remains open.
