WA beach re-opens after shark spotted

A beach in Western Australia's South West region has re-opened after a shark sighting forced its closure.
Surf Life Saving WA tweeted on Thursday that Meelup beach had been closed at 10.15am after a 2.5 metre shark was spotted about 50m offshore.
The beach was re-opened about an hour later.
