SA woman caught 'six times over limit'

A 43-year-old South Australian woman has been caught driving with a blood alcohol reading more than six times the legal limit with a toddler alongside her.

Police pulled her over in Port Lincoln on Saturday afternoon after receiving calls from concerned members of the public.

She blew 0.302 - a result police described as staggering.

Checks revealed she was also disqualified from driving.

The woman will be summonsed to appear in Port Lincoln Magistrates Court at a later date on charges including disorderly behaviour.

She has also lost her licence for 12 months and had her car impounded for 28 days.

Police are notifying the Department for Child Protection.
