A man who allegedly took a pipe bomb and two guns into Royal Perth Hospital has briefly appeared in court.

Aaron Lee Priemer, 29, was to be sentenced in the West Australian District Court on September 3 for online child sex offences, but didn't attend and instead allegedly left the improvised, non-functional bomb and firearms at the hospital during a visit to an associate.

He was the next day handed a minimum nine month jail sentence after pleading guilty to 11 online child sex charges.

Priemer appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday via videolink from the maximum-security Casuarina Prison but the matter was adjourned for four weeks as his lawyer is on holiday.
