Pilbara man accused of abusing girl, 9

A 40-year-old Pilbara man has been accused of sexually assaulting a girl who he knew through friends for more than three years, starting when she was aged nine.
Police have charged the man from Baynton, near Karratha, with offences including sexual penetration of a child, alleging he abused her between September 2012 and December last year.
He is due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court later on Monday.
