Perth thief steals car with toddler inside

A toddler has been found after going missing in a car theft in suburban Perth.

The two-year-old was in the back of a car stolen from a residence at Forrestfield shortly before midday on Saturday, police said.

Shortly afterwards, the child was found outside a nearby supermarket.

The driver remains on the run in the green-grey Holden Commodore sedan with the registration 1ESB 293.

Anyone who sees the car should contact police on 131 444.
