Perth teen's death: second murder charge

A second teenager has been charged with murder after violence erupted on a suburban Perth street following an 18th birthday party, resulting in a teenager's death.

Kuol Akut, 17, who was from South Sudan and lived in suburban Ballajura, was found lying on a footpath in Girrawheen just before midnight on February 19 and later died at Royal Perth Hospital.

WA police say a 17-year-old boy from suburban Marangaroo was arrested on Friday night and has been charged with murder. He is due to appear in Perth Children's Court on Saturday.

Tommy John Jackson, 18, has previously appeared in court charged with murdering Kuol and a 17-year-old has been charged with assaulting an 18-year-old man injured in the same incident at Girrawheen.
