Perth shoplifter steals security system

An alleged thief has his own concerns about security, a report by West Australian police suggests.

Officers are looking for a man who took a home security system from a shelf in an electronics store in Perth's northern suburbs late on Thursday afternoon and walked out of the store without paying.

When confronted by a staff member, he threatened them with a stun gun.

The man was last seen in the underground car park of the shopping centre near Banks Avenue in Hillarys.

He is described as being in his 20s with fair skin, a slim build and blonde hair, and was wearing a dark coloured jacket.
