A security guard has been kicked in the head and knocked unconscious during a violent brawl at a Perth train station.

Police say the Transit guards tried to quieten down a group of rowdy men on a train, heading to Wellard Station from the city about 3:30pm yesterday.

The guards told the group to get off at the nearby Bull Creek Station.

Detectives say a fight broke out at the station, with one of the officers seriously injured.

He was rushed to Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Police aren’t sure if the men had been attending Perth’s first Ultimate Fighting Championship in the city but say they were drunk, loud and abusive.

A 20-year-old has fronted court this morning, and a 25-year-old man will face court next month.
