A man accused of taking two loaded guns and a pipe bomb into a hospital in Perth's CBD is due to face court.

Patients and staff were evacuated from Royal Perth Hospital after a bag containing the package and two modified firearms was discovered in a ward about 9.45am yesterday.

Two men were arrested over the incident, with police charging a 29-year-old man with possessing a firearm and possessing explosives under suspicious circumstances.

He's due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.

A 30-year-old man of no fixed address has been released from custody while police continue their investigations.
