AAP
Soaking up the rays on the sand, swimming in the ocean, drinking a cold one while barbecuing some snags - just another winter day in Perth.
The Western Australian capital had its warmest August day in 17 years on Saturday, reaching a maximum of 27C at 3.48pm.
The city came close to breaking its all time monthly record, which is 27.8C on August 21, 1940.
