Four outlaw motorcycle gang members have been charged after a 29-year-old man was held at gunpoint and assaulted in Perth's southeastern suburbs.

Federal and West Australian police discovered the injured man, a hand gun and a baseball bat during a search of a property in Forrestdale on Friday.

They allege he had been held captive and bashed by the president and other members of the Lone Wolf bikie gang, and needed medical treatment.

Police say the man was also assaulted at a property in nearby Southern River, where a revolver, handcuffs and a bolt cutter were found.

The gang members - two of whom are 26 and the other two are 39 and 41 - have been charged with offences including detaining another person with intent to gain a benefit.

They are scheduled to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on June 8.

"Joint law enforcement co-operation has all but shut down this outlaw motorcycle gang before it has had a chance to gain a foothold in Western Australia," Australian Federal Police Perth manager Matt Rippon said.
