Perth pedestrian struck by car dies

A 25-year-old man has died in hospital after being struck by a car in Perth's northern suburbs.

Police were called to the crash on Karrinyup Road, Karrinyup just after 2.30am (WST) on Sunday.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with life threatening injuries, but died on Sunday afternoon.

The driver of the vehicle is assisting police with their investigation.

In a separate incident, a 43-year-old man is in a serious but stable condition after being hit by a car in the state's South West region.

The pedestrian was standing next to his car on Brockman Street in Pemberton on Saturday afternoon when he was hit by a vehicle that had veered off the road.

He was flung through the air as a result of the impact and received multiple serious injuries.

The man was taken to Manjimup Hospital and later airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.
