WA police seize 42kg of pot in car stop

A cannabis haul worth half a million dollars has been seized during a routine traffic stop near the West Australian border.
A 35-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested near Eucla on Monday as they were about to cross into South Australia.
Police seized 42kg of cannabis in 95 bags, half a gram of methamphetamine, loose cannabis, smoking utensils and $8500 in $50 notes from a Victorian registered Holden Commodore.

The couple, from Norlane in Victoria, were charged with drug possession and supply.
They will appear in the Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
