Out-of-control driver causes mayhem in Perth carpark
An out-of-control driver has smashed into a fire hydrant before landing on two parked vehicles in a carpark in an inner city suburb of Perth.
The Commodore driver had been travelling down the Great Eastern Highway when it ploughed through a fence at the Ascot Central Hotel just before 12.30am today.
The car snapped a fire hydrant before landing on the parked cars.

Luke Slattery, who owns one of the smashed cars, a white Subaru, was forced to make an early morning call to his boss to say he'd be late for work and without a car.
"I should still get to work... hopefully my mates will be able to drive me," Mr Slattery said.
"I was just thinking about selling my car actually and here we are. I would have thought parking here would be pretty safe."
The owner of the other parked car found out about the carnage from friends on FaceTime.

Police say a 28-year-old woman was behind the wheel. She was taken to hospital but escaped serious injury.
It's alleged she failed a breath test at the scene.
"That's probably a lesson for myself, be insured," Mr Slattery said.
"Lesson for her, don't drink and drive."
