Labor’s Mark McGowan declines flyer from One Nation volunteer at polling booth
A One Nation volunteer has unsuccessfully attempted to give a flyer to Western Australia’s Labor leader and possible new premier Mark McGowan as he headed to the ballot box this morning.
Video shows Mr McGowan walking hand-in-hand with his family to cast his vote at a polling booth in Rockingham.
As he makes his way through the school gates, a One Nation supporter in a bright orange T-shirt attempts to hand the opposition leader a flyer.
Mr McGowan remains dignified as he declines to accept the flyer.
The 49-year-old is looking likely to defeat Premier Colin Barnett to win the election.
Newspaper polls released today put Mr McGowan comfortably ahead of Mr Barnett at 54-46.
