No charges after WA child killed by truck

A truck driver who fatally struck an seven-year-old boy at a road house in regional Western Australia has not been charged with any offences.

The boy was hit by the truck out the front of a Mingenew road house on Tuesday evening as his four-year-old brother watched on.

The driver didn't stop at the scene and police said on Wednesday he may not have realised what had happened.

The boy was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries.

Police on Thursday said their investigation was complete, the driver had not been charged and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
