Murder-accused son still in psych facility
AAP
A 61-year-old man accused of murdering his 81-year-old mother remains in a psychiatric facility after appearing in a Perth court looking dishevelled.
Police and St John Ambulance officers were called to the Whitehaven Crescent home in Balga just before 6.30pm on October 4 where Barbara Chokolich was found to have suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Steven John Chokolich appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday via video link from the Frankland Centre at Graylands Hospital and had his case adjourned to the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court next month.
