Missing kayaker in WA found dead

A kayaker who went missing on a river in Western Australia's South West region has been found dead.

Susan Quick, 48, had been kayaking on the Blackwood River, about 5.5km west of Bridgetown, when she was reported missing at 11.15am on Sunday.

Police said on Tuesday that State Emergency Service volunteers and police had located her body about 7.30am.

Family are assisting with the formal identification process and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
