Mental assessment for Perth murder accused
AAP
A 39-year-old man charged with murder over a death at a home in Perth's north will be assessed for his fitness to plead after prison staff became concerned about him.
Police were called to the Balga property on the afternoon of July 8 and found a 29-year-old man deceased.
Dominic Calabro, who was charged two days later, appeared in the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court via videolink from Hakea prison on Wednesday, when a report on his mental health was ordered ahead of his next court appearance on December 19.
