The man who killed 23-year-old Mitch Finnerty in a triple shooting with possible bikie connections continues to elude police.

Tributes have been posted on social media for the Perth man, who became a father to a son, Cruz, only three weeks ago.

Finnerty's partner Shouneez Julius posted on Facebook "My heart is absolutely shattered into 1,000 pieces, I never in my life thought I would have to say goodbye to my best friend," she said.

His father, Lance Finnerty, posted a threatening message to his son's killer, saying he would be looking for him.

Mitch Finnerty's own Facebook page had pictures of him posing with fellow bikies in City Crew West Coast shirts.

Pellegrino Paul Mule, a Coffin Cheaters bikie member, and his son Mark Mule, a friend of Finnerty's, were shot and injured.

The attack happened in a driveway in Banksia Grove in Perth's outer north on Tuesday night.

The men were known to police but whether the shooting had to do with the bikie links had not been established, Detective Inspector Mark Fyfe told reporters on Thursday.
