Rockingham officers are appealing for information about a white Holden Commodore sedan containing four men and a woman driver which was seen in the area before the shooting.
The 2006 to 2008 sedan was fitted with mag wheels and a boot spoiler, police say.
Investigators believe the vehicle was involved in a disturbance hours earlier near the intersection of Tucker Street and Cowcher Way West.
