Man in coma after Australia Day pub brawl

A man is in an induced coma after being bashed at a Pilbara pub on Australia Day.
The 54-year-old was taken to Nickol Bay Hospital after he was knocked unconscious during a brawl between two groups of patrons at the Mermaid Hotel in Dampier about 9.25pm on Monday.
He was later flown to Perth with serious head injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact police.
