AAP
An Austrian man has been fined for assaulting two customs officers at Perth Airport after they stopped him for a bag check.
Gerhard Neugebauer, 54, became violent and began striking the officers with his hands after he arrived from Abu Dhabi and was directed to an examination bench on November 16.
He was restrained and then arrested by the Australian Federal Police, and charged with two counts of causing harm to a Commonwealth officer.
